Walking into the spiritual trail towards Ghorepani is remarkable. Some name this trail as “Lord of the rings trail’ and some term it as the “wedding trail”. The names are given for its dramatic supernatural forest setting that’s more of a fantasy. Further, the amount of rhododendron that grows in the spring literally drops on the walking trail making it a genuine wedding trail. Finally, it’s fun being at Ghorepani (Horse – Water) the incredible blue roofed settlement. This beautiful town has indeed served as a main junction during the salt trade era between Nepal and Tibet. This beautiful town is very alluring where tourists, photographers, movie crews, botanists, and many other from far and wide come to visit every year.

  • DAY 01: Arrive to Kathmandu (1,400 m/4,593 ft) and transfer to the hotel.
  • DAY 02: Half day city tour/ afternoon trek briefing and trek preparation / welcome dinner at traditional Nepali Restaurant.
  • DAY 03: Drive to Pokhara (820 m/2,690 ft) 6 - 7 hours
  • DAY 04: Drive to Kande (1,770 m/5,807 ft) (and Trek to DEURALI via Australian Camp) (2165 m/7103 ft)
  • DAY 05: Trek to Landruk (1,700 m/5,577 ft)
  • DAY 06: Trek to Ghandruk (1940 m/6,364 ft) - 3 hours
  • DAY 07: Trek to Tadapani (2,630 m/8,628 ft) 4 - 5 hours
  • DAY 08: Trek to Ghorepani (2,860 m/9,383 ft) 6 - 7 hours
  • DAY 09: (Morning excursion to POONHILL [3210 m/ 10 531 feet] for the sunrise view) and trek to Hille (1,430 m/4691 ft)

⭐ Drive to beautiful settlement of Kande and trek to Deurali via Australian Camp with the view of majestic mountains and extensive vibrant green hills are incredible.

⭐ Walk through the woodland that leads you to the striking Gurung settlement offers you the most astonishing views of towering mountains along with the deep gorge which appears into the depth of profound valleys.

Detailed Itinerary

Once you arrive in the Kathmandu international airport your group leader will be there to receive you and transfer you to the hotel. Simply relax and enjoy the local splendor and vigorous activities that you will be witnessing around. Your first day adventure, driving through our hectic traffic is delightful.

The enchanting city tour takes you to the the most pious Hindu and Buddhist religious place that are listed in the world heritage sites. This guided city tour by our professional city tour guide delivers you the entire mysticism over its existence.

• Meet-up at 9 am (usually) for the tour.
• Visit to Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath.

Driving to Pokhara, the second biggest city of Nepal is very entertaining. This long hour Drive through the unfamiliar highway (though small) offers you so much – there is indeed so much to see and learn on the way which is very enlightening.

• Early drive to Pokhara to skip any uncertainty of traffic jam.
• Fabulous scenery as you navigate through this new roads.
• A very relaxing multiple breaks gives you time to stretch and enjoy.

Approximately 1 hour drive on narrow paved road to the small settlement of Kande situated high up on the ridge; the starting point of your electrifying expedition is sincerely adventurous. Approximately 2 hours walk to Australian Base Camp, one of the most beautiful settlement that offers anyone with the most outstanding view of the Annapurna and fishtail range. Next few hours trek will eventually take us to the small village of Deurali.

Today we wake up early for the most stirring sunrise view from Deurali. Soon we are done with our breakfast we walk a beautiful trail through the forest of Rhododendron, Oak and Maple to the small settlement of Tolka. Next we walk the most effortless trail to the village of Landruk.

We descend to the village of Kumi, situated at the Valley of Modi River. You may also see ample wild honey hives high up on the towering cliffs. We climb steep trail with steps that will eventually take us to Ghandruk, the biggest Gurung rural community in the region.

This short hike through the the supernatural forest setting is very fascinating. It’s certainly an intriguing walk through the beautiful forest of Rhododendron, Maple, Oak and number of other floras.

• Most of the time you are in the shade keeping you away from the harsh day sun.

Despite, 6/7 hours walking this is yet another charming walk  through the beautiful Lord of the Rings like trail set-up which is overwhelming. It’s very mystical and very spiritual. Getting to Gorepani the leading protected area in Nepal with the world largest Rhododendron forest is extraordinary.

Morning sunrise view from Poon-Hill is one cherishing moment with panoramic view of mountains like Annapurna, Nilgiri, Dhaulagiri, Dhampus peak, Fishtail etc. Looking down upon the Kali Gandaki Gorge, the world’s deepest gorge is something remarkable.

2 and a half hours walk to Nayapul, the starting point and depending on your preference the leader will organize your lunch. 1 and a half hour drive to Pokhara.
